Watch the Details is free to read and use. The numbers are copied with care from the documents they cite, but your watch is the final authority: check a part against it before you buy or fit anything.
A reference, not a guarantee
Every number names its source, and where sources disagree both are shown. Makers still revise parts within a model, regional versions differ, and documents contain mistakes. The reference is provided as it is, without a promise that any figure is right for your particular watch. Compare the code printed on your part, case back or old cell with the page before acting on it.
Calculators give estimates built on stated conventions, such as the wrist-fit bands described on How we source numbers. They are aids to a decision, not a measurement of your wrist or your watch.
Working on a watch
Opening a case, changing a battery or fitting a part can scratch the case, damage the movement, break a gasket and void a warranty; a watch that is not resealed properly may no longer be water resistant. If you are unsure, take it to a watchmaker. We are not responsible for loss or damage that comes from work done on the strength of this site, to the extent the law allows.
Button cells
Button and coin cells are dangerous if swallowed, especially by children. Keep new and used cells out of reach, and take used cells to a battery collection point rather than the household bin. A cell of the right size can still be the wrong chemistry or voltage for a watch; the battery pages and the swap checker show the difference.
Trademarks
Brand, model and calibre names belong to their owners and are used only to identify watches and parts. Watch the Details is independent and is not endorsed by or affiliated with any maker it mentions.
Reusing our content
Facts are not owned by anyone, and you are welcome to use the numbers; if you do, please cite the original document, which the footnote gives you. The text, the drawings and the way the data is arranged are our work: quote and link freely, but do not copy pages or drawings wholesale or republish the dataset without asking. Contact details will be published when a mailbox is ready.
Links and shops
Footnotes link to makers’ and other publishers’ documents. We do not control those sites or their content. If the reference links to shops, the links will be marked, and a purchase is between you and the shop.
Changes
